Rithmic CME Market Data Subscription Fees

Please read this email in its entirety as it contains important information for your Rithmic connection. This email will run through the changes happening in the Rithmic ecosystem.  

What is a concurrent login? 

A concurrent login is the number of direct connections for market data and trading on your Rithmic ID. In the past, traders were able to login to multiple trading platforms with the same Rithmic login and power each platform with one charge for market data fees.  

What does this mean?    

Beginning May 1st, 2020, traders will run third party platforms (ex. Bookmap, Investor R/T, Jigsaw) as apps plugged into the R|Trader Pro platform.  This set up means only one platform (R|Trader Pro) will incur a market data subscription fee resulting  in a session count of 1 (concurrent login). This should retain your status as a non professional market data subscriber.    

What platforms can connect to R|Trader Pro as an app?   

We believe majority of third party platforms we work with have built in, or are building in to the new connection protocol with R|Trader Pro. We recommend you check for updates to any third party platform to ensure you are able to connect to R|Trader Pro within their software.  

What is the process of connecting other software to R|Trader Pro? 

1. Download R|Trader Pro and open the platform 

2. Click "Advanced" on the right side of the R|Trader Pro login window 

3. Click "Allow Plug-ins" to the right of "Market Data"  

4. Log in to R|Trader Pro with your live or paper trading credentials for BOTH Market Data, and Orders.  

5. Start your third party platforms and enter your live or paper trading Rithmic credentials.  

6. Select the Login with RTrader Pro option

What is Edge Clear doing for our members using Rithmic? 

Edge Clear will be reducing all Max Sessions for Market Data - NOT ORDERS - to 1 unless you have previously expressed you will need more than 1 Max Market Data Session.  This should be completed tomorrow morning. This may cause your platform to lose connection.  

Your Max Session for Orders will need to be set to the number of third party apps you wish to connect to.  If you need the Max Session for Orders increased, please contact your broker representative. 

Due to the new CME enforcement, we will also be disabling all Paper Trading credentials associated with live accounts as you would be billed for Paper Trading data as well.  There will be more information on connecting to a Simulated Environment soon, and many third party platforms offer their own simulation mode using real time data.
