Adding and Enabling Notes on the DOM
Notes on the DOM
While trading with the DOM on EdgeProX, there may be times where you want to mark specific information about a given price level. For example, if you want to mark a support at a specific price level and you want this information visible on the DOM, you can mark this in the notes section. This guide will walk through enabling and using the Notes feature of the DOM.
The first step to enabling the notes section of the DOM is to select the "+" symbol in the upper right corner of the DOM and to select "Notes". The screenshot below will show where this is located.
Depending on how your DOM is currently configured, you may have to expand its window to accommodate the Notes section. You can do this by selecting the left edge of the DOM window and dragging. Additionally, you can place the notes section wherever you'd like on the DOM. In this example, it is placed between the Price and Ask columns.
From here, there are various ways to interact with notes. To write a note, simply click within the box at the specific price level you'd like to note. While typing your note, you can also adjust the color of the box, enable a line on the chart reflecting the note, and change the font of the note.
The screenshot below demonstrates how the line attached to the DOM note will appear on the chart.
Notes can be a useful tool to keep track of specific price levels, can be used in combination with different exit strategies, and can enhance the utility of your DOM.
